Taking Down Christmas

It’s time to face reality…Christmas is over.

Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year, but unfortunately it’s not socially acceptable to keep your Christmas tree up all year long, so I’ve almost completed the process of de-Christmas-ing our house. I’m going to need both of my new Christmas vacuums to attempt at getting the leftover glitter and pine needles off of my floors…and in addition to that, my Christmas decor storage seems to multiply every year and I’m seriously running out of storage space.

Before I say goodbye to Christmas 2017 once and for all, I thought I’d post some last photos of the Christmas decor from this year:

I did a total of three Christmas trees this year, but I’m going to focus on this one for this post to keep things more concise. I’m also going to post some links to the pieces I used in case anything is on Christmas clearance right now for y’all to go grab at a discount!

This Christmas tree has probably 1000-1500 ornaments on it (I didn’t count them) and took approximately 5 hours, even with Jake’s help, to put together. The tree is heavily flocked and completely white, silver, and champagne themed. I also made handmade burlap bows for this tree that I really loved for the overall look. I topped it off with a bunch of large florals. I love big ornaments and decor pieces. The photos don’t do it justice, this tree turned out so beautiful in person.

I carefully chose the ornaments on this tree from several different stores.  I’m linking some of my favorites below:

I also love the way this mantle turned out with flocked garland and white stockings to match the tree skirt. You can see the tree a little more in the background of this photo of the mantle. Mantle decor also linked below.

I know most of those items aren’t available anymore, but I wanted to share where they came from regardless. I’m going to miss my Christmas decor, but there’s always next year!
